INTRODUCTION
Rationale of the Study
Educators are tasked to educate the students according to the standard set by the Department of Education of the Republic of the Philippines. They are expected to give their best to produce academically competent graduates particularly in the secondary schools to prepare them for college education.
The Department of Education, with the educators, has failed to met this expectation as revealed in the national performance of the high school students for the previous school year through the National Education Testing and Research Center (NETRC). Mathematics performance is 50.70 percent for school year 2004-2005, 47.82 percent for school year 2005-2006 and 51.27 percent for school year 2011-2012. This result is far below 75 percent which is supposed to be the minimum standard of achievement expected from the students.
