Sad RE: what is your vision as a curriculum leader in your school?....
so...ok lang pala if ever the principal (public school setting) will add subject (elective subject) even if it's not included in the curriculum? by not informing the teachers (as part of the curriculum implementer) of adding such elective subject(in science subject for example) prior to the start of the regular class? and by adding elective subject but not putting it really as "elective subject" in the teachers program? Huh

In the public schools I don't think they have that much leeway... DepEd seems to be the one to call the shots on what subjects to include as electives.

But what do you mean 'by adding elective subject but not putting it really as "elective subject" in the teachers program'?

Nakalagay kasi sa teacher's program kung ano ang subject load ng isang teacher. So, instead na "elective subject" ilagay, ang nakalagay doon is still Math or Science subject for example. Is it also a valid reason na para tumaas MPS eh mag-add ng elective subject? Pwede din ba na hindi e-reflect sa card grades para sa elective subject?

What's MPS?

Re elective subjects not appearing in the card: so what would the students get?

You should ask your principal why he/she wants to offer elective subjects.

Yon nga reason: to increase students' MPS (mean percentage score).

Elective subjects to increase the students' MPS? Would that not be an oxymoron?

Why require students to spend more time on non-essentials if they are having difficulties with the basic ideas?

Some schools give autonomy to their teachers, could even dictate what would be covered by his subject, while some schools are very strict, the issues are even considering a series of meetings that should be covered. For most teachers in most schools, the program has been prepared for them, and must teach what is given will depend on there.
