RE: salary of a teacher
Nothing, since nothing has been budgeted for you yet. That is, you are just a volunteer teacher.

However, if you are under a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the LGU and DepEd, you will get what is stated in that MOA.

sadly, but it's true. it's like our nursing graduates. After studying and spending, they would just become a volunteer. just want to ask how long does it take to get an item?

Good luck with your item. Better join a private school than work for the govt as a teacher.

If you apply as a contractual teacher your salary depends on the alloted budget by your city/municipality. coz i asked my friend who came from Pasig as a contractual teacher their salary is if im not mistaken about P9000 that's the reason why she transferred here in our place. And now she's a regular permanent teacher already. BTW the salary of contractual teachers here in our place is almost the same with what the permanent teachers get.

So if you want to work in public schools, if in case THERE IS NO ITEM YET is go to your municipal/city hall and ASK where is the local school board so that they will deploy you to your nearest school via localization law. and from there you will be asked to submit necessary requirements and wait for your deployment. hope this will help you.

Its much better to work in public schools coz you only need to work for 6 hours and handling only one subject preferably your major. And lots of benefits. hehehe...compared to private schools though we lack teachers in private schools your teaching two or more subjects and you have to spend 8 hours of work..
