The Philippine Home Economics Association will hold its annual convention on October 23-25, 2009 at Sarabia Manor Hotel, General Luna St., Iloilo City. The theme for this year's convention is "Social Upliftment through Human Empowerment in Perspective of Home Economics".

The objectives of this year's convention are to:
a. inform the TLE-EPP teachers of the current thrusts of DepED in curriculum reform;
b. provide a venue for professional enhancement relative to skills taught in the areas of TLE and EPP; and
c. discuss the continuing advocacy of PHEA members in the upliftment of homes, family and environment.

Participants to the annual convention are regional and division supervisors, principals, school heads, EPP and TLE teachers from public and private schools, PHEA regional and division coordinators and officers.

The registration fee of Four Thousand Six Hundred Fifty Pesos (PhP4,650.00) will cover the hotel accommodation, food, seminar kits, certificate, honorarium for speakers and city tours.
