But just describe your services there so that they will know about it (instead of discovering it in the middle of a thread).

@gov_sucks: would that offer to work in Kansas be still available 10 years from now? (i'd be stuck here, being a DOST scholar.. but honestly i haven't decided yet if i'm going out of the country)

@admin: knew it, that's y news of Filipino teachers in maryland is familiar, mam apao is my classm8s HS teacher.. y do many teachers go to maryland? and y do many teachers there die? (don't mind the second question, it's fallacious)

I met Ma'am Apao at Basak NHS, although she was not my mentor. Maryland seems to be one of those states where there are established contacts between school districts and recruiters. I think gov_sucks knows more about this.

She was not my mentor also but I still consider her for the help.
I remember a story there in Maryland that one of the Filipino teachers there was hanged on the flag pole. Paets.

By RODNEY J. JALECO
ABS-CBN North America News Bureau

FORT WASHINGTON, MARYLAND - She arrived in America August 22 filled with hope and expectation of the "American Dream". Barely a week later, Filipina teacher Erlinda Camitan Leuterio – Ellen to friends – was dead, killed in a fatal car crash on a lonely Maryland back-road.

Ellen, 58, was supposed to be part of a batch of 92 Filipino teachers hired by Prince Georges County public schools for this school year. The main group arrived here as early as July.

Car crash will sometimes appear unexpectedly. She didn't even make his American dream in success. It's been hard for her loved ones to over come the accident.
