What is transfer?
Transfer is the goal of the Understanding by Design process. To say that there was transfer is to mean that students can transfer knowledge to formats, applications, and situations which are different from where it was learned. Otherwise, what you have is not understanding, but rote memorization.

The process would look like:
1.) I do, you watch.
2.) I do, you help.
3.) You do, I help.
4.) You do, I watch.

RE: What is transfer?
sir admin if you don't mind, can you also post the other three factors which constitutes the UBD (Deepen, Explore, and Firm-up) with such clarity as your post with regards to Transfer.

RE: What is transfer?
@jinka: Deepen, Explore and Firm-Up is not technically a Wiggins-McTighe work. If I am not mistaken, FAPE presented that, and it is absorbed by DepEd.

RE: What is transfer?
Isn't transfer supposed to work on the Big Ideas, as in "I can relate what I understood from English Literature to my studies in History."

Is this correct?
