How to post a thread and reply to threads in this forum
This is the CSFOE - Conferences, Seminars, Forums, and Other Events - Forum. This forum is meant to contain all posts related to conferences, seminars, forums (the offline type) and other events which would be useful for teachers. In order to make this forum useful for everyone, here are some rules to keep in mind when making a new thread or replying to an old thread in this forum.

The Thread Title
The thread title must briefly and concisely indicate the substance of the thread. At the very least, the title of the thread should contain three things:
1. the title of the event (e.g. "Technology in Education Summit")
2. the location (e.g. "Cebu City")
3. the inclusive dates (e.g. "March 5, 2009")

These three pieces of information would inform a user even by the title of the thread itself what the event might be about, where it would be, and when. If the user could possibly go to that event and he is interested, he would then look at the entire thread.

Some other piece of information might also be included in the title, but the three above should suffice.

Please avoid making the title very long.

The Thread Body
The body of the original post for the thread should contain as much information as possible about the event, including registration fees (if any), intended audiences, the actual time of the event, whether snacks will be included, etc. A link to an online description of the event, if available, should be included.

If the poster is not directly connected to the event organizers, a link to the source of information or a description of where the poster got the information is a must.

What This Forum is NOT
This forum is not for questions such as if the event is really useful or not. If you really want to create a thread like that, then please create it in the Professional Development forum and not here. Thread replies should be limited to clarifications on the details of the event itself.

If the poster has personal information about the event, he should volunteer that information if people request for it.
