Brief History
The former name of the school was Elim Science Academy, established in the year 2000 through the vision, efforts and determination of Mr. & Mrs. Rodolfo T. Cawili, by God's grace. It was certified as a private, non-sectarian, non-profit educational institution by the Securities and Exchange Commission last November 23, 2000 with SEC Reg. No. A200017739. The initial operation was on June 2001, in a reformed and renovated warehouse building situated at Escobar St., San Jose City where courses offered are Nursery, Kindergarten, Preparatory and Grades 1 to 4. Initial number of enrollees then were more than 70 students. After a year, the school was blessed to transfer in a more conducive facility, the vacated Senior Citizen's building, just a corner away from the original site where the next two years of its operation were held. Number of students then were tripled from 1st year to 2nd year and 3rd year of operation as the school gained the support of the community for it has proven its worth with the quality it offers and its overwhelming accomplishments during competitions, divisional or regional.

It was on the fourth year when the Lord has granted the prayers of the Elimians as it acquired its own lot to build its own school building. It was September 2003 when the shovel was first stroked in a 2000 sqm. lot area. Concerned friends and brethren arrived to be part of the initial efforts as starting point for the purpose. The structures has started with a ten (10) one-storey row classrooms for the Pre-School and Elementary Departments. It was a celebration then for the blessings as God has granted the school its needed amenities, with a Christian community in it and a noble purpose, located at 1099 Veteranos Ext., Sibut, San Jose City. The lot was fully paid last August 2005.

Just last year 2007, the institution has completed the layout plan with the finished construction of the two-storey building, signifying God's provision and faithfulness to His children. At the same time, during the acquisition of the Government Recognition for the Secondary Curriculum, from its name ELIM SCIENCE ACADEMY, the DepEd approved a new and better one, the ELIM SCHOOL FOR VALUES AND EXCELLENCE. With this, the Academy was prepared to better fulfill its misson and vision of delivering a higher and more excellent learning and the sharing of Biblical Values and God's love to its students.

It was also the moment where the school won the prestigious 2nd Place during the Science Quiz for the whole province of Nueva Ecija. The award was considered 1st in the City of San Jose. More awards and accomplishments were gathered then by the Elimians, on the academics and cultural, as well, year after year.

This year 2008, another milestone was achieved by the school, a rare opportunity to other private schools in the city and the province, as it was approved and now being accredited with FAPE, a government institution who subsidizes High School students studying in private schools. With the accreditation, we can now extend enhanced scholarships to secondary students beginning at First Year Level.

By faith and determination to achieve and the aim to serve God and the people, with their children, Abigail Faith, Meek Christian and Precious Love, their concerned and child-friendly faculty and staff and the overflowing resources from God, spouses Rudy and Joy Cawili struggled to put Elim to where it is now.
