Mean Percentage Score (MPS) from 55% in SY 2005-2006, 60% in SY 2006-2007 and 65% in SY 2007-2008 (19% improvement in two years).

Teachers: teacher requirement gaps in 2007 were closed by creating more than 16,000 items. Additional 7,434 teacher items were created in 2008 in response to increase in enrolment.

Textbooks: procured and delivered 22.752 million copies of various elementary and secondary textbooks nationwide. Textbook-pupil ratio at 1:1 in 18 elementary and secondary subjects.
GASTPE: Created additional slots of 61,177 in 2008 for the Education Voucher System and Education Service Contracting Under the Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private Education. At present, there are a total of 625,083 beneficiaries - representing 48% of the private secondary school enrollment.
Computers - it was promised that by the end of the school year, 6,393 high schools will be equipped with computer laboratories.
Training and development - a total of 121,129 teaching, managerial and administrative staff underwent trainings and development.
