BTW, I was VERY disappointed to see ads in this forum about "dating Filipina women". As a Filipino in the US, this is the last thing I expected to see especially from a Philippine Education forum.

IMO, these ads and websites contribute to some of the issues and perceptions towards FIlipinos. Shame, shame, shame.

There are two kinds of ads being shown in this forum: those from Google and those from Project Wonderful.

Those from Project Wonderful are easy to block, since there are fewer advertisers there, and you can also set notes regarding the ad slots - most advertisers don't waste their time on sites which do not like their kind of business.

On the other hand, Google ads are chosen automatically by Google's system, and we webmasters have very little control over what shows there. We can block certain URLs, but there are just too many of them that blocking does not seem worth the time. The good thing though is that the ad regarding "dating Filipino women" shows only on pages where such keywords exist - for example, this page.

I'm not quite sure exactly what u r saying ISLEV. As the owner/administrator/webmaster of this site, I would have thought you have full control of what goes in to this site.

Blocking individual URLs is possible via the Google Adsense control panel, but as I've said above, it takes too much time to be worth it. The best way is to identify the specific pages where the ad shows up, and identify what keywords in the page are causing the ad to show up and adjust the page content accordingly.

Personals ads or personal profiles are a great way to attract new and interesting people. It is very similar to an advertisement for the product. Gregorian calendar and the numbering of years, which is tied to the calendar, which is the more widespread use of the modern world.

... they sure are a great way to attract ppl. And believe me there are plenty who are lured in to it... only to live to regret it...
