this is sad. the teachers should received some amount. anyway, hindi naman lahat ng private schools ay hindi okay benefits. i guess one should examine the benefits before accepting the job offer.

RE: benefits from private schools
Hi there teachers!

I'm a fresh graduate and a new teacher in a private institution. I am not satisfied with what the administrators have been doing. I am a BSE- English major. When I applied, the principal told me that the vacant position is in the elementary level only. We had a consensus that I will be assigned in the Grade six level. I agreed because I thought that Grade six kids are almost like freshmen students in high school. Two weeks before the opening of classes, the principal verbally told me (together with a new teacher) that we will be re-assigned. She didn't mentioned the post, though. As a fresh graduate, I am really confused about what is happening. I feel so frustrated about being a Grade Two teacher (that's the assignment she gave me) and I feel that I lost my motivation in teaching. There was never an induction and I have to learn everything the hard way. When I make mistakes, they often scold me as if I am still a student-teacher.
I am adamant about resigning.
What can I do for now?

RE: benefits from private schools
Private schools offering lavish extracurricular activities give their pupils an unfair advantage and should be forced to share their facilities with state pupils, says a report commissioned by the prime minister. One of the advantages of private schools is that they have a small community atmosphere that allows for a lower student-to-teacher ratio.
