Anyone Using MOODLE?
Are there MOODLE admins / users out here, aside from me?

RE: Anyone Using MOODLE?
Jake, a co-teacher but an inactive member here at the forum, is using Claroline to manage his computer classes: http://eduphil.org/oc/

We have setup Moodle in an internal server at our school, but we never had the time to check out its features.

RE: Anyone Using MOODLE?
I'd like to hear about Moodle. I'm using Claroline, another LMS (Learning Management System) but I'm getting sorts of problems with it. There are still bugs and software updates are not so regular. They say Moodle has more functionality and has a wider community base.

RE: Anyone Using MOODLE?
So is there a chance that our class will migrate to Moodle from Claroline?

RE: Anyone Using MOODLE?
We actually have a Moodle server here at EduPhil.org: http://eduphil.org/m/

Unfortunately, Moodle is so resource-intensive that I think even a hundred students using a Moodle server will make EduPhil.org crawl.

On the other hand, I have seen ATutor and it seems stable and fast enough even for 500 students. And it's free.

RE: Anyone Using MOODLE?
Do you use it in a private Intranet server, or on a server accessible from outside?

RE: Anyone Using MOODLE?
both intranet and our own webserver just for backup. but i prefer online since the intranet is so slow in terms of loading and processing request.

Must be some problems with your configuration or the hardware that you are using. In my experience no Internet-based server could beat even a modestly high-end Intranet server.

My own problem with Moodle is that it is the slowest among the more popular LCMS.

RE: Anyone Using MOODLE?
we don't have that high-end server since I'm just using the teacher's desktop as for our moodle server. but we seldom use it coz we have our own sub-domain for moodle.
