The Pambansang Samahan Para sa Edukasyon sa Pagpapahalaga (PSEP Inc.) will hold its 19th Annual Convention on November 25-27, 2009 at Brentwood Apartelle, Brentwood Village, Barangay M. Roxas, Baguio City with the theme "Pagpapatibay ng Pagkataong Pilipino: Tugon sa Hamon ng
Panahon".

The convention aims to:
a. gain insights in crisis management; learn new social skills in life-like situations to enable one to meet the demands and challenges of the current situation;
b. recognize and appreciate positive Filipino values as tools towards proactive crisis management as reflected in their concrete programs and actions;
a. commit oneself and deepen one's responsibilities in carrying out various activities leading to successful crisis management; and
b. enhance the students' creative participation in the promotion and strengthening of positive Filipino values through different contests.

The association will also hold its 7th Tagis-Talino and Sayawit sa Edukasyon sa Pagpapahalaga competitions and the 5th On-the-Spot Poster-Making Contest during the convention. Contestants for the Poster-Making are advised to bring their own materials (1/4 illustration board, pencil, eraser, pastel crayons, etc.)

The 2009 winners of the Search for Outstanding School Based Values Education Program, VE Educator, and Model Kabataang PSEP Organization will also be awarded.

Participants to this convention are Values Education and Makabayan regional, division and district supervisors, principals, head teachers and teachers-in-charge, VE and Makabayan department heads, coordinators and teachers both in elementary and secondary levels, guidance counselors, Christian Living and Character Education teachers, PSEP, MPSEP, KPSEP national and local officers and members, PTCA officers and members, students and other interested parties.

A registration fee of Five Thousand Five Hundred Pesos (Php5,500.00) shall be charged each PSEP participant and Five Thousand Pesos (Php5,000.00) each KPSEP participant. The fee is inclusive of board and lodging, convention materials, honoraria for resource persons and membership fees (for PSEP participants only).
